HAIR CARE REGIMENT/AFRO NATURAL HAIR TYPE

Hi Everyone,

How are you doing? Thank you for always staying connected to my blog. Today i am bringing you something different on the demand of many people who asked me about my hair Care Regiment. So i will share with you the different products i use and what i do to help keep my hair healthy.

Please note that I have not been doing anything extra on my hair to make it grow quick (1 YEAR grow), but i will from now on.

Before entering into details , i will give u step by step what I will normally do with my hair, I do not have a CERTAIN Routine but there are things i make sure i always do:

  • I do Co-washing at least once or twice a month
  • I do wash my hair at least once a week if i do not have a protective style on
  • I do Hair treatment at least once a month

Here are the products, How i use them, how often and why i do use them.

1. MIXING AND CREATING MY OWN HAIR OIL

As you can see on the pictures i mixed all those different products to create my own hair oils that will help me nourish my hair.

a. Mega Growth Replenish Oil: Contains Olive, Shea and Avocado, Multi-purpose soothing oil contains intense moisturisers that soothe and nourish dry, damaged hair and itchy scalp.

b. Grapeseed Oil: Helps hydrate your hair, making it stronger, especially during the summer. An intensive mask made with Grapeseed Oil may be effective to combat dry hair.

c. JOJOBA,GOLDEN: Cold pressed from jojoba nuts, jojoba oil is a very popular oil, high in natural oils that resemble those found in the skin and able to dissolve into skin oils and help soothe damaged and irritated skin. Jojoba oil is a waxy solid below approximately 10-15 degrees centigrade and quickly returns to its liquid state above this temperature.

d. Avocado, Virgin:  May help moisturise your hair and scalp. Many use the oil as a hair conditioner, leaving the oil on the hair and then removing to leave the hair soft and shiny.

e. Olive Extra virgin Oil: It is high in monounsaturated fat content (mainly oleic acid), polyphenols, Vitamins E and K. It used for arthritis, to soften cuticles and strengthen nails.

f. Virgin Pure Coconut pressed oil: In your hair, skin, nails and body. Coconut Oil makes an intensively moisturising hair mask – pop on and leave overnight. Use a cleanser for a natural and speedy make up removal, leaving skin looking glowing and moisturised.

I bought all these products from eBay. After mixing them together, i apply them on my hair once or twice a week, I also mixed it with my condition when i do my Co-washing.

2. Washing & Conditioning my Hair at least once a week.

I have been loving using OGX products for my hair and so far i have found great result. Because it contains Keratin.

Transform your hair into silky smooth locks with this exclusive blend of coconut oil, rich keratin proteins, avocado oil and cocoa butter. Get it HERE.

3. Do my CO-WASHING at least 1-2 times every two months

Cowashing is short for “conditioner-only washing.” It means skipping shampoo and relying solely on conditioner, whether you’re a daily or a weekly washer. The result is something between squeaky-clean and second-day hair—that is, smoother, softer, and easier to manage.

Once  or twice very two months, i do co-washing: So i mixed these three Products , and i add the “Oil i mixed”, then i apply on my washed hair and i leave it Overnight for at least 8-10 hours then i wash it in the morning.

4. Kerating & Green Tea Restructurizer

Every time I wash my hair or do my Co-Washing, I Towel Dry my hair then i spray the Aphogee Kerating & Green Tea Restructurizer and i leave it to Air Dry.

PS: I do not use Electric Hair dryer on my Hair anymore. So I encourage you do avoid it as much as possible, because heat is not good for your hair.

5. Leave-In Conditioning.

So after my AphoGee keratin Spray :

  • I will mixed both (My Cantu Shea Butter Leave in conditioner and Mega Growth Daily leave in strengthener, I got both product on eBay)
  • and i apply on my hair, I wrap it then with a plastic bag of Cling Film paper,
  • Leave it for 2-3 hours, then STYLE YOUR HAIR AS DESIRE.

6. Moisturising my hair.

The same way we take care of our body by moisturising it and keep it Hydrate, we should do the same with our hair. So every time I feel my Hair is dry and need me to hydrate it , I always use Groganic DHT Blocker system: Daily Topical Scalp Treatment. You can get it from eBay.

Here are the benefits of this Hair Oil:

  • RELIEVES DRY & ITCHY SCALP
  • NOURISHES ROOTS
  • STIMULATES FOLLICLES
  • INCREASE BLOOD FLOW

7. Growing my Front Hair back or Edges Hair.

As a black African, lemme ask you:

  • Who has not lost hair at the Edges or front or corner of the head after Box Braids?
  • Well Many of us almost always loose front hair to Box Braids.

But Ladies do not worry anymore Here is the Secret I have found to help me grow my Front Hair Back or my EDGES, its Called: JAMAICAN BLACK CASTOR OIL : Say goodbye to dull, damaged, hair and hello to healthy, shiny hair with The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil. A proven effective hair and skin care product, this oil treats dry, damaged hair, regrowing and strengthening it from root to tip.

I have been applying this since my pregnancy, I use my fingers and apply on my edges at least 4 (Four ) times a week, and trust the process, within 3-4 months you will see a BIG Improvement.

You can buy it from eBay or Amazon.

8. Growing my hair back in length and thickness.

While growing up, all my mum did on my hair was Thread so my hair became really long. I have then decided as from this month, I will be doing Thread on my Hair every Month to help me grow it back quickly and more efficiently.

Awwww I forgot to mention I go out like that because I love my African Roots and  I am Confident with them on me, Plus my BOO love and prefer me like this hahahaha.

CONCLUSION: Well that IT IS. I have now share with you my secret, it seems long and hard but honestly, once you get into your routine and its gonna be part of any other routine you have at home. Please note this is MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, and you do not have to follow everything.
